                                                           Off to Arthur's

--------------------------------------------------------------------

In the morning all of the year 5 and 6's had to carry all of their gear into the library, because... we were going on our Arthur's pass school camp!!! We were all so excited to go. When that school bell rang I was so excited but we went into class like normal and had prayers. Then straight after we went to the library to make sure everyone was there and to get our bags. First the people that got car/bus sick went on first so they went to see out the front near the window. Then everyone else went on. I sat at the back with Polly. Off we went. We finally got there at around 12:00 and there was a lot of snow. First we had lunch. Next  Ms Bright told us what cabin we were going to be with the whole time and then I found out that it was the YMCA cabin. For the cabins I was with Charlee,Tasja and Elizabeth ours was the smallest out of all the cabins but it was still really cool.

The next day one my favourite thing happened which was shelter building. It was awesome and soooooo much fun.

Then on the last day we went down to a stream and did a fun rock game who can stack rocks the highest. Then after that we made some art with broken sticks, stones and other things. Mine was in the forest shelter building because that was really cool and different.

But my favourite thing was the shelter building and the YMCA lodge.

New Zealand to lockdown

THE BELLA TIMES

New Zealand to Lockdown!!!

On 23th March 2020 Jacinda Ardern the Prime Minister of New Zealand announced that the whole of the country would be going to level four lockdown. No-one would be allowed out of their homes for four weeks.

It was crazy and one person called Bella Graham said she  hated it. “It was so weird staying in my house with my family for such a long time, “ reported Miss Graham.

Miss. Graham’s father was an essential worker for Aratuna Freighters so she didn't get to see him much like always.

Mrs. Graham, Bella’s mother, knew an amazing walk track. She took the family every day for a walk. “It was cool, it led to the beach. It was such a good view,” said Miss Graham.

The children of the family played a lot. They went bike riding, played on the trampoline, helped around the house and other things. That made the lockdown fun.
